Natwest feeling the pressure following IT blunder

A week on and feelings amongst customers of Natwest are still high, last week a planned computer migration within the banking giant went horribly wrong and led to thousands of customers without access to their money.

Natwest acted quickly and put measures into place to try and deal with the fiasco by extending branch opening hours and even opened last Sunday. For many people the shock horror continued into this week as they were still unable to access their funds.

It is predicted that the series of computer glitches will cost the bailed out banking group hundreds of millions of pounds in additional staff wages and fee waivers not including the loss of revenue from customers leaving the banking group.

One Natwest customer outside Natwest in Thornbury said "I have banked with this bank for around twenty years now, my wages go in to the bank every Friday and have done for the past six years, yet last Friday I tried to use my card for fuel in Tesco's and the payment was declined"

He continued by saying "staff just do not seem to know what's going on, very little information and zero financial support from the banking staff"

On Facebook and Twitter the comments continue with one person saying "Many thanks ****west, I am sure you will eat well tonight, if only my children and I would be"!

Another user summed up his fealings by simply saying "bye bye natwest"
